Description
The TechDraw ExtensionPositionSectionView tool orthogonally aligns a section view with its source view. You can select a section view or (introduced in 1.0) select an edge and a vertex.
Usage - view selection
On the right the aligned section view
- Select a section view.
- There are several ways to invoke the tool:
- Press the
Position Section View button. - Select the TechDraw → Attributes/Modifications → Position Section View option from the menu.

Usage - edge and vertex selection

- Select an edge (1) in a section view. The edge should match the direction of the projection.
- Select the corresponding vertex (2) in the source view.
