Description
The Std AnnotationLabel command creates an annotation label in the 3D View.
Example of annotation label
Usage
- Select one or more objects. The first selected object determines the Base Position of the label, which in turn determines its initial Text Position. See Notes.
- Select the Tools →
Annotation Label option from the menu.
- A Label object is created.
- Change the Label Text property to set the label text.
- Optionally, drag the label in the 3D View to a different position.
- Optionally, change the View properties to modify the appearance of the label.
Notes
- The Base Position is determined by the first selected object and how it was selected:
- For objects without a shape, the global origin is used.
- For other objects, it depends on the selection method: if selected from the 3D View, the picked point is used, if selected from the Tree View, the object's Placement point is used.
- The coordinates of the Text Position are relative to the Base Position. For the initial position, the X-, Y- and Z-coordinates of the Base Position are copied, and 10 is added to each. This means that the initial length of the leader line is larger if the Base Position is further from the origin.
