Description

A launch lug is a small tube attached to the side of the rocket that allows the rocket to be guided using a rod until it is fast enough to be aerodynamically stable.

Usage

  1. There are several ways to invoke the command:
    • Press the Launch Lug button.
    • Select the Rocket → Launch Guides→ Launch Lug option from the menu.
    • Double click on a Launch Lug object in the Tree view.
  2. Set options and press OK.

Properties

Launch Lug

  • DataInner Diameter: The diameter of the inside of the launch lug
  • DataLength: The length of the launch lug
  • DataOuter Diameter: The diameter of the outside of the launch lug

Rocket Component

These parameters are provided for information and have no effect on the design of the component.

  • DataDescription: Description of the component
  • DataManufacturer: Manufacturer when known
  • DataMaterial: Material when known
  • DataPart Number: Manufacturer part number
