Description

Creates glyph (symbol) plots.

Example of a glyph filter.

Usage

  1. Select a previously created result pipeline.
  2. There are several ways to invoke the command:
    • Press the Glyph Filter button.
    • Select the Results → Glyph Filter option from the menu.
  3. Adjust the Result display options like for the result pipeline. You might need to hide the pipeline to see the effect of the filter in the preview.
  4. In the dialog that appears set the glyph options and the result field used to color the glyphs.
  5. Click the OK button to finish the command.

Options

The dialog offers the following settings:

  • Form: Form of the glyph: Arrow, Cone, Cube, Cylinder, Line or Sphere.
  • Orientation: Vector field used to orient the glyphs.
  • Scale
    • Data: Data field used to scale the size of the glyphs.
    • Scale by magnitude or Scale by components: If the Data is a vector, this setting decides whether the glyphs are scaled by vector magnitude or by individual components.
    • Factor: Constant scale multiplier for the glyphs.
  • Vertex Masking
    • Mode: Which vertices are used as glyph locations: Use All, Every Nth, Uniform Sampling.
    • Stride: Stride for the Every Nth masking mode.
    • Max: Maximum number of vertices used for the Uniform Sampling masking mode.
