Description
Creates glyph (symbol) plots.
Example of a glyph filter.
Usage
- Select a previously created result pipeline.
- There are several ways to invoke the command:
- Press the
Glyph Filter button.
- Select the Results →
Glyph Filter option from the menu.
- Press the
- Adjust the Result display options like for the result pipeline. You might need to hide the pipeline to see the effect of the filter in the preview.
- In the dialog that appears set the glyph options and the result field used to color the glyphs.
- Click the OK button to finish the command.
Options
The dialog offers the following settings:
- Form: Form of the glyph: Arrow, Cone, Cube, Cylinder, Line or Sphere.
- Orientation: Vector field used to orient the glyphs.
- Scale
- Data: Data field used to scale the size of the glyphs.
- Scale by magnitude or Scale by components: If the Data is a vector, this setting decides whether the glyphs are scaled by vector magnitude or by individual components.
- Factor: Constant scale multiplier for the glyphs.
- Vertex Masking
- Mode: Which vertices are used as glyph locations: Use All, Every Nth, Uniform Sampling.
- Stride: Stride for the Every Nth masking mode.
- Max: Maximum number of vertices used for the Uniform Sampling masking mode.
