Description
The Curves TruncateExtend tool cuts a shape and truncates or extends it by a given distance.
Usage
- Select a shape and a plane or only a plane in a PartDesign body.
- There are several ways to invoke the tool:
- Press the
Truncate Extend button.
- Select the Surfaces →
Truncate Extend option from the menu.
- Press the
- A Truncated_Extend object is created.

A Truncated_Extend object is derived from a Part Feature object and inherits all its properties. It also has the following additional properties:

- DataCutter (
Link): The planar object that cuts the Source object - DataSource (
Link): The object that will be truncated or extended
Settings
- DataDistance (
Distance): The distance to truncate (if negative) or extend (if positive) - DataRefine (
Bool): Refine shape (clean up redundant edges) - DataReverse (
Bool): Reverse cutter plane normal
