Description
The CAM DressupLeadInOut command dresses up an existing path by adding lead-in and lead-out moves at the beginning and end of the toolpath.
Usage
- Select an existing path object.
- There are several ways to invoke the command:
- Press the
Lead In/Out button.
- Select the CAM → Path Dressup →
Lead In/Out option from the menu.
- Press the
- Adjust the lead-in and lead-out settings in the task panel.
- Confirm the dressup.
Options
- Lead in: Controls the entry move added before the main cutting path.
- Lead out: Controls the exit move added after the main cutting path.
- Feed rate: introduced in 1.2 The corresponding lead-in and lead-out moves use the feed rates defined for these moves in the tool controller. By default these follow the horizontal feed rate.
Limitations
- This dressup modifies the start and end of an existing path.
- The exact result depends on the selected path and the chosen lead-in and lead-out settings.

CAM DressupRampEntry can also be applied to a path that already has a Lead In/Out dressup.
