Description

The TechDraw ExtensionCreateObliqueChainDimension tool creates an oblique chain dimension: a sequence of aligned dimensions.

Usage

  1. Select three or more vertices.
  2. The two vertices selected first define the direction and determine the position of the chain dimension.
  3. There are several ways to invoke the tool:
    • introduced in 1.0: If the Dimensioning tools preference is set to Single tool (default): press the down arrow to the right of the button and select the Oblique Chain Dimension option from the dropdown.
    • If this preference has a different value (and in 0.21 and below): press the Oblique Chain Dimension button.
    • Select the TechDraw → Format/Organize Dimensions → Oblique Chain Dimension option from the menu.
  4. A chain dimension with centered dimension texts is created.
