Description

The Part Import command imports geometry from a different file format into the active document. The supported file formats are: STEP (with or without colors), IGES (with or without colors), and BREP.

Usage

Set up the Import Export Preferences in the Preferences Editor.
Select the Part → Import CAD file... option from the menu.
Optionally select the correct file format in the dialog box.
Select a file.
Press the Open button.

Notes

The Std Import command supports many more file formats.
