While Stripe doesn't support monthly donations, you can still become a sponsor! Simply make a one-time donation equivalent to 12 months of support, and you'll gain access to the corresponding sponsoring tier. It's an easy and flexible way to contribute.

If you are not sure or not able to commit to a regular donation, but still want to help the project, you can do a one-time donation, of any amount.

Choose freely the amount you wish to donate one time only.

You can support FreeCAD by sponsoring it as an individual or organization through various platforms. Sponsorship provides a steady income for developers, allowing the FPA to plan ahead and enabling greater investment in FreeCAD. To encourage sponsorship, we offer different tiers, and unless you choose to remain anonymous, your name or company logo will be featured on our website accordingly.

from 1 USD / 1 EUR per month. You will not have your name displayed here, but you will have helped the project a lot anyway. Together, normal sponsors maintain the project on its feet as much as the bigger sponsors.

from 25 USD / 25 EUR per month. Your name or company name is displayed on this page.

from 100 USD / 100 EUR per month. Your name or company name is displayed on this page, with a link to your website, and a one-line description text.

from 200 USD / 200 EUR per month. Your name or company name and logo displayed on this page, with a link to your website and a custom description text. Companies that have helped FreeCAD early on also appear under Gold sponsors.

Instead of donating each month, you might find it more comfortable to make a one-time donation that, when divided by twelve, would give you right to enter a sponsoring tier. Don't hesitate to do so!

Choose freely the amount you wish to donate each month.

Please inform your forum name or twitter handle as a notein your transfer, or reach to us, so we can give you proper credits!

Description

A Part Circle is a parametric shape that can be created with the Part Primitives command. In the coordinate system defined by its DatosPlacement property, the circle lies on the XY-plane with its center at the origin.

A Part Circle is in fact a closed counterclockwise circular arc, it can be turned into an arc by changing its DatosAngle1 and/or DatosAngle2 properties.

Usage

See Part Primitives.

A Part Circle can alternatively be created by selecting three points:

  1. In the task panel of the Part Primitives command select the Circle option from the dropdown list.
  2. Press the From three points button.
  3. Select three vertices in the 3D View. There is no need to hold down the Ctrl key.
  4. A circle is created.
  5. The selected vertices are only used at creation time to calculate the DatosRadius and DatosPlacement of the circle.

Example

Part Circle from the scripting example

A Part Circle object created with the scripting example below is shown here.

Properties

See also: Property View.

A Part Circle object is derived from a Part Feature object and inherits all its properties. It also has the following additional properties:

Data

Attachment

The object has the same attachment properties as a Part Part2DObject.

Base

  • DatosRadius (Length): The radius of the circle or circular arc. The default is 2mm.
  • DatosAngle1 (Angle): The start angle of the circular arc. Valid range: 0° < value <= 360°. The default is 0°.
  • DatosAngle2 (Angle): The end angle of the circular arc. Valid range: 0° < value <= 360°. The default is 360°. If DatosAngle1 and DatosAngle2 are equal, or if one angle is 0° and the other 360°, a full circle is created.

Scripting

See also: Autogenerated API documentation, Part scripting and FreeCAD Scripting Basics.

A Part Circle can be created with the addObject() method of the document:

circle = FreeCAD.ActiveDocument.addObject("Part::Circle", "myCircle")
  • Where "myCircle" is the name for the object.
  • The function returns the newly created object.

Example:

import FreeCAD as App

doc = App.activeDocument()

circle = doc.addObject("Part::Circle", "myCircle")
circle.Radius = 10
circle.Angle1 = 45
circle.Angle2 = 225
circle.Placement = App.Placement(App.Vector(1, 2, 3), App.Rotation(30, 45, 10))

doc.recompute()
