French Translation

Ce guide de traduction en français est destiné à conseiller sur le choix des meilleurs termes dans notre langue, lorsque ceux-ci peuvent porter à confusion ou dispersion, etc. Le but est de faire la synthèse des recommandations d\'harmonisation débattues sur le forum ou applicables de fait par la généralisation de leur pratique.

Chaque recommandation devrait être validée sur le forum en français : documentation collaborative (wiki FreeCAD) qui est le lieu adapté pour les échanges. Le lien entre le post de validation et cette page est à faire (ex : toujours traduire Workbench par « Atelier »).

Recommandations

  • Toujours traduire Workbench par « Atelier »).

  • Les noms des « ateliers » restent en anglais (comme MS-Word ne devient pas MS-Mots en français) (à confirmer, lien forum à mettre)

  • Pour conserver un classement logique par ateliers, le nom de l\'atelier reste toujours avant l\'information Atelier ou Nom d\'outil, une précision entre parenthèses peut être donnée, ex :

Remarque typographique : À la différence de l\'anglais qui n\'utilise pas d\'espace avant les signes de ponctuation double que sont les \" : ? ;et! \" mais seulement après, c\'est le cas en français avec des espaces avant et après les signes de ponctuation double. Exemples : Application Overview: A general overview of FreeCAD (pas d\'espace avant les \" : \" mais seulement après). Vue d\'ensemble de l\'Application : Un aperçu général de FreeCAD (espace avant et après les \" : \").
